What is the difference between shipping and delivery charges?

They are basically the same thing. “Shipping” and “delivery” refer to the same thing. Shipping is used when you order something online to be transported to your home (for example, clothes), while delivery is used when you order food to be transported to your home.

Should I enter the delivery/pickup and installation/restock fees as positive or negative on a return?  

When entering amounts in the Delivery/Pickup and Installation/Restock fields in Enter a Return, you have the option to charge or refund the fees. Positive amounts entered in these fields on the Payment page of the return are added to the refund amount, thus increasing the amount due to the customer. Negative amounts are subtracted from the refund amount, thus reducing the refund due to the customer.

An even exchange or refund can be made within 90 days, except as follows. 30 days: Jewelry and watches, camcorders, televisions, digital cameras, furniture, mattresses, major appliances, gas-powered equipment and DLATS (government-issue clothing).

Some include people buying accessories for an item they broke. They may no longer use or need the product. Or an upgraded product is available, and they want to own that product instead. It can also happen because a customer was forced to move, change jobs or just downsize their personal life.

What if I don’t have the receipt? If you can’t get hold of the receipt and you’re taking an item back simply because you don’t like it, the retailer is under no legal obligation to give you a refund – but the retailer may offer you an exchange or a credit note.

Under the Consumer Rights Act, you have the right to return something within 30 days and get all of your money back if it’s faulty, not as described, or unfit for purpose.
